New word

OK, I've already told April this story, so she can stop reading it, everyone else please continue. I've developed a new term that I think should go into every working person's lexicon. (Wow I just used "Lexicon") Anyway, as most of you know I'm currently one week from leaving UAB, and happy about that. Well the other day someone that works down the hall came in and needed to borrow some disposable beakers. We was going to get some old ones, but we have like 5 stacks of unused ones, so I offered them to her. She started laughing and pointed out that I have no more attachments to the things of the lab. Which is true.
Later that day, my boss came in and was doing some work while I was in there sort of goofing off. Of we were supposed to be in a meeting. So we got to talking about why everyone was leaving the meeting, and I told her that I liked the guy that was talking (not in that way), her response was "what does that have to do with the meeting." Well I just told her, sometimes if I go to the meeting depends on who is presenting. It's so true too. Dawn burst out laughing and gave this "I cant believe you said that" face. What do I care. Anyway, this has all lead to my phrase of "employment nirvana."
As most know, "nirvana" is simply put... the cessastion of suffering; or a condition of happiness arising out of the absolute cessation of desire; etc. You get the point. Well thats basically what happens during a two week notice. You no longer care about the future of the company, or what happens to your results. I mean I like the people, just dont care about the job. I have no attachments to anything we use, and basically I'm just finishing my time. Yeah, I think employment nirvana is a good way to sum it up.
